This Comfort food is everyone's favorite at home and can be served with Tomato-Onion Sabji, Curd or any sort of Pickle / Raita.

In our scenario, all family members are in love with this Super Green Leafy Vegetable. One will always find this green vegetable in my kitchen. I preferably use it in Methi Paratha, Methi Sabji with Peanut Powder/Moong Dal, Dal-Methi, Oats Chilla, and list goes on.

Ingredients-

  • Wheat Flour 1 & 1/2 Cups

  • Chopped Methi Leaves 1 Cup

  • Besan 2 Tbsp

  • Curd 2 Tbsp

  • Finely Chopped Coriander

  • Garam Masala 1/2 Tsp (Optional)

  • Coriander Powder 1 Tsp

  • Cumin Powder 1/2 Tsp

  • Amchur Powder 1 Tsp

  • Red Chilli Powder as required

  • Asafoetida 1/4 Tsp

  • Turmeric Powder 1/2 Tsp

  • Carom Seeds 1 Tsp

  • Salt as per taste

  • Oil or Ghee as required

  • Water as required for making dough

Direction-

  • In a mixing bowl, add Wheat Flour, Methi, Besan, Curd, Coriander, Carom Seeds, Cumin Powder, Coriander Powder, Turmeric Powder, Amchur Powder, Red Chili Powder and Salt.

  • First mix all the ingredients well and then start kneading the dough. Dough should be soft as regular roti or chapati dough.

  • Cover and rest the dough for 20-30 mins.

  • Take a medium size dough and dust it with some wheat flour.

  • Roll it in a small circle and apply little ghee/oil, fold it in half and repeat again to get a triangular shape.

  • Sprinkle little flour again and start rolling it again into a triangle or circle. It should not be too thick or too thin.

  • Now transfer the rolled paratha to a hot griddle or tawa. Apply some ghee/oil as required and cook it from both the sides.

  • Now our soft and delicious Methi Paratha is ready. Serve hot with Tomato Chutney, Pickle, Curd or any sort of Raita.
